GOX Connect

Global Online Experience

Before the internal organisational change, what is now Commercial Digital was first called GOX, short for Global Online Experience, then Global Omnichannel Experience.

The best part about GOX was a weekly meeting, each time with different speakers and different topics, all with the purpose of growing the sense of community within our organisation and stimulate our curiosity in the different fields - UX, engineering and product.

When this meeting became more established and a backbone of the organisation, there came the need for a symbol.

Submissions were made and voted on our Slack channel, and, well, I won.

Surprisingly enough, I didn't design this with Figma or any other "usual" tool, instead I decided to use the (back then fairly new) great iPhone function of cutting and copying an image, and refined everything on Instagram.

Since the whole idea behind GOX Connect was literally to connect us, I figured the link symbol would have been perfect for this role, and the fact that it resembles a "G" and an "O" was definitely added value.

It is one of my most basic works, but it still has a piece of my heart, given the pride it gave me every time I saw it popping up in the meeting and in everything GOX Connect related.
